Hi,
I'm trying to find the number for the Bike Tyre Company. Got tyres from him last year but the number I have and also the number on the useful services section doesn't seem to be working.

Thanks

Gerry

Gerry .
If your gettin tyres posted Crosons are the Cheapest .
If your getting tyres fitted Hursts are the Cheapest.

That's the number I had but it seems to not be working properly at the moment. Thought there might be a mobile number as well?

Can't go to Hursts at the moment.

the landline used to / usually ( :nenau ) goes to the mobile No.

i have Martins (BikeTyreCo.) mobile No.
tried it - but no ring tone

it was rumoured  only that; a rumour, that'd he'd given up.

Cotters (Ph: 01 460 3807) any use? - good prices :thumb2 / but no "home service" :(

Gave Cotter's a shout and they seem to have some good deals at the moment so I'll call out to them next week. Tried Duffy's because they're nearest but prices for Anakee 2 tyres very steep.

If you buy tyres from Crossans or Cotters and want them fitted, a guy I work with does car tyres but will also fit bike tyres and has the device for balancing them. SO if anyone needs his number just let me know.
He operates from his garage at his house which is on the road out to Celbridge.

Paddy, who used to work for Bike Tyre Company is now operating out of the premises on Ossory Rd under the name Paddy's Pitstop and the number is 018559711.

After many phone calls the situation seems to be as follows:

The Bike Tyre Co. mobile guy is no longer mobile.

Cotters have Anakee 2 tyres for better than €220 plus fitting, €40 if you bring your bike, €20 if you bring the wheels.

Duffy's €320+ Anakee 2 tyres but Tourances €265 fitted.

Maddocks quote the same for the Tourances.

Blakestown tyres have a deal on Continental Trail Attacks for €265 fitted until the end of August.

Paddy's Pit Stop have only original Tourances at the moment but seem about the same on price.

From reading various reports online, it seems that the Anakees are not great and the toss up is between the Tourance EXP tyres or the Continental Trail Attacks.

tourance EXP

Last year I was at a Tyre day organised by Maddocks...Ian Duffus the road racer was the Sales Rep who was attending. His expert advice as the Metzler rep was that the EXP is a tyre designed for track days and for ex sportsbike riders who ride like loonies. He said that if you were a regular rider using their bike from normal riding and commuting then they would be better off with the regular tourance...
I also know a man who raced a Varadero 1000 at the manx GP a couple of years ago on regular tourance.

Cheers.
Anyone know what Crossans charge to supply and fit trail attacks?
