i have active plus autocom unit and zumo 550 all working good except when on phone volume is low when other person speaks after me then volume does come back up as long as i dont speak is there a solution for this thanks in advance

Same problem cured....

I need to use the phone a lot on my bike and I have the same set-up as you do. The problem is that when you speak it operates a 50% mute on incoming volume,

Cheap and easy but hard work solution is use what I call radio discipline, i.e you speak. STOP then they speak. STOP etc. It works but it's not ideal.

I resorted to going into Autocom as they are only 1/2 hour away from home.

For £20 they removed the vox operation 50% mute and now it's perfect.

I honestly think they should be set-up this way out of the box.

Unsure if GS Rich will be able to tell you how to do this if it is DIY-able, but it is a worthwhile mod and well worth the effort. I've had this done on both my bikes now:D

Hope this helps

Roger.

I thought the solution was to use wire connection from zumo to autocom for navigation and mp3 music. Then use autocom bluetooth module. Both phone and autocom bluetooth modules get paired to the zumo. Then zumo bluetooth is set for just phone audio output.

I have the above setup and still have the same problems with phone audio level too low. Music and navigation is fine.

The autocom bluetooth module is £70 and not worth the money in my opinion.

I have the same problem - Rider to pillion fine, music fine, phone setup is not right, call recipient can't hear me and I struggle to hear them... looking for a solution if possible ?

I'm sure if you ask nicely Autocom will come up with another solution that will cost £x and then we can have loads more threads on why that doesn't work.
