Photo Rally 2011

Finally have 3 days allocated to doing a load of these! 5th, 6th and 7th of August, so it'll probably be pissing rain that weekend.

Did Redwood Castle on Sunday with Harry. There was a Wing there already, he was obviously taking the tour as there was no sign of him - until someone yodelled at us from the roof :rolleyes:

Cheeky I know.....

however, I noticed another Tiger while flicking through the photo rally pics so I thought I'd show you mine....

18 rally points in 9 days over 2,000 miles through more rain than I care to mention...... Deep joy!!!

Blue markers on the route map indicate rally points.

Met Mark from Greystones at the Derry location last Saturday morning at 11-30, fine you may say but he left home at 2am and rode his Honda 90 to two other locations before Culmore Point, was heading for the roofless church Donegal as I left, fair dues Mark if ur on here
Finished the BMW, Photorally & Phoker rally for 2011, must get the entries off & by the way nice Tiger & a fine entry TT Dee

On the way to 01 Donegal, the visibility was down to 50 metres crossing the mountain, then changing back to heavy rain



We had a good night in Sean Ogs in Bunbeg, Gweedore and started out next morning once again in heavy rain but now accompanied by strong winds.

22 Leitrim



Strong winds and heavy rain until we past Kells on the way home, but still a very enjoyable two days. Only 3 more to do.
 
From last time

Left the house at 0510 , temp was 3C. after many hours, I arrived at




Had a cuppa here, and then crossed the Shannon at Tarbert, ended up in Leenane for the night. 500Km in 12 hours. Next day, first stop was



It was a lovely warm day day, next , and last stop, was



While having more tea here, I noticed I had a burst rear shock, so off home at a gentle pace. 800 km in two great days, and the rally finished.
 
FAIL............

Well, it was my first year doing it. This is what i managed to do. Gutted I didn't get on down south. Hopefully next year. Well done to all who completed it.
