Photos from the weekend

Stunning part of the world with roads to die for. I unfortunately had to leave Sid’s a few days before the event.

OK, lets see if this works, ive tried to keep them in chronological order over the week end... but

I didn't take many pics but here's my best - "the hostess with the mostest" in her natural habitat, though getting Ann to sit down and stop looking after everyone was almost impossible

Sorry for the delay.

I last saw Sid on his last Devon get together before he moved to France and i've seen a few changes to my life in the intervening period. Work, relationship breakdown, subsequent separation and Convid conspired to make things impossible to visit Sid and Anne in France until this year. So, with August free for a change, the ferry was booked and a round road trip was planned to see a bit of The Auvergne before heading over to Sids and then back via Mariion and Paul's in Brittany.

For those that missed out, Sid and Anne's hospitality is second to none and it's well worth making a round or through trip that takes in visiting them, their many new friends in France and the always golden opportunity to catch up with good friends.
The dates are in for next year already, so if you haven't got one of these events ticked off, you really should think about booking yourself in.

Chez Sid's...

Pool antics in the sunshine... much needed after a hot day on the bike.

Local cafe culture...

and the group rideout party.

Visiting the local, hilltop, market towns and villages.

Top Chef... Simon at work!

Random shots from Saturday night

Good to see this reprobate again, as well as a few others.

Lots of sunflower farms in the area.

Attendant parking on site

and lastly... really great to catch up with these two... it's been too many years gone by since the last time. Was lovely to see you both and thnk you everyone on our trip for your friendship and hospitality.
