Pick yer time for a trip!

Agree that the main road is a very dangerous place for cyclists given the volume of traffic and the size of the vehicles using it ie tour buses, logging lorries and supermarket artics.

There is a 'cycle path' which is a complete no brainer.
Well it was the last time I tried using it a number of years ago, the 'track' often veers off the main road and heads directly up the side of the hill through a series of very steep hairpins to join the nearest forestry road.
Then in no time at all you are forced to descend back down to road level through a series of hairpins.
Then along the road a bit further you repeat the process.

Pretty useless for road bikes too as the paths are unnmetalled.

That's why most cyclists use the main road at their peril.

Don't get me started. Packs of them on the A82, parked up yabbering to each other whilst stood in the road:blast feckin layby was less than 100 meters away:mad:

Have no idea what makes em think they are so invinsible!
