Yes in minus 2 ! Had to as had cancelled my insurance on the 1250 . My oh my what a great bike . The auto is fab even on sketchy frozen roads . Didn’t bin it so that was good . Seems smaller than the 1250 but nice and cobby to ride . Now in the garage after an ocd clean . Love it

Congrats on the new shiny GS. I had an Africa Twin in auto, and try as I may, I couldn’t get on with it. It was ok off the road, but lacked control off the tarmac. Only control is rear brake and accelerator at low manoevering speeds. Doable but really tricky. I did like it on the road though. I find the quick shifter is the best option for me. On the Africa Twin, sales are apparently split roughly 50/50 between auto and manual, so there’s no question it’s an enjoyable option and as many as love it as dislike it. Will be interesting to see where GS sales go very the next couple of years in that regard. Enjoy that lovely bike and congrats again 🙂👍

New bike day

Congrats.

I ended up picking my bobber up in the snow but new bike day is still a great day.

Enjoy.

It looks better in red than I was expecting, perhaps in time its looks will grow on me?. I hope you enjoy it and I’m glad you got it home safely.

Congratulations. Love the red (y). I think I would blacken out the side grills if I was fortunate enough to buy one

Nice bike "very brave of you riding it home " I think I would have waited till the ice & salt had gone or had it delivered (y)

Nice one. Looks great. I collect mine, Triple black 1st March. Hoping the weather will be accommodating. I too have chosen the ASA. It makes sense to me.
Good luck. (y)

Well done Robbo :thumby:

Hope you get plenty of miles'n smiles with it :thumby:

Does this affect the radar ?

Not all have Radar . Mine doesn’t . Wouldn’t think it would affect it
Mine is better with use and bar risers . Bought a second hand Motorrad soft bag as still no boxes and that makes it more useful ! I nearly chopped it in for one of the last of the 1250’s GSA but glad I stuck with it . It feels lighter than my old 1250 and corners better ,.so still happy with it

It may interfere with sensors and the laser (if it has one) when in use, unless you don't use the cc in which case put what you want. I keep mine clean as per manual (car), snow can affect the sensor for example.

My GSA had a CC fault due to a significant deposit of what used to be flies after a long day in the saddle.
Once I cleaned that area all was good again
