picking up my twin cam on wednesday

Interesting comments . I have a 2012 twincam at present nd wondering about chopping it in for an LC bike - I have right hand problems and need the cruise control. So I suppose my other alternative is a twin cam RT which often did have cruise control.

So what are the issues with the LC? With the twin cam there is the bevel box issue, amongst others. Are the LC proiblems worse than this? Maybe a Crosstourer or Explorer then

Ignore all the bollocks on here about the LC. I'm on my third, and haven't experienced any of the issues reported on here.:thumb Admittedly, some have had problems, but look at the number of bikes sold, compared to the number of problem bikes, and it's not worth getting too worried about.

It's far cheaper than a new bike. :thumb

Ignore Nutty, hes a beta tester sent i by BMUU :eek:to make the Shithouse look better than it is.:green gri Read the pages and pages of problems on here and you will see whats wrong with them. FFS even new engines being fitted and end up worse than before, clutches not working, paint falling off, ESA problems.................the list goes on and on. Would you spend £16.5k and "take a chance" i bloody wouldnt. :blast Better to buy a 2013 TC :thumb if you can, and spend the 5k left over on having fun instead of spending all your time at the dealers having your bike looked at because something else is fooked ! Ok ive now had my fun,:bounce1 but not one word of what ive said isnt true. :augie

Hardly a widespread problem though, with less than a dozen bikes worldwide affected. But, if you want to muddy the waters by bringing that up every now and then, carry on.

My 2010 with all the extras is a keeper. I have had it for 19 months and use it most days. I bought it privately with 1,500 miles on it for £6,250 I virtually nicked it :beerjug: and it is absolutely mint still. just coming up to 10,000 miles now.

Only issues so far are two new headlight bulbs and a rear puncture so I cannot really blame BMW for those issues.

Enjoy your new bike.

Neil

Nicked it!!!!!!! You bent the seller over and did him/her up the wrongun!

I am so glad I got a 2013 gsa
Because I want to spend my free time enjoying my ride not the dealers hospitality
+ with all the negative feed back on the LC I am not inspired to get one perhaps in 2-3 years I may be

Love my 13 plate twin cam glad Alex at Cotswolds BMW refused to sale me a LC as he knows what I want from my bikes, his words where wait 3-4 years then get one as all the issues will be sorted out!!!!

Cheers Alex

Glad youve finally admitted it Nutty, perhaps the reason for giving up the mods job is that youre spending all your spare time at the dealers having your bike fixed ? Keep on riding................while its still going :D:augie

Ha ha.:D All joking aside, other than for routine service work, none of my LC's have been back to the dealers with a single problem, in nearly 20,000 miles.:beerjug: But you don't want to know that.:D
