An unfortunate turn of events but for me it hasn't tarnished what looks like a great trip. As they say; nowt so queer as folk.......I had no intention to air this in public but bizarrely Khulu did :
I removed him from our WhatsApp group because he was still being rude and punchy despite leaving a few days ago. The other four all said that they would not desire his company on a future trip due to him being unable to control his drinking or his mouth .
Far from it . Five of us have had a fabulous trip .
I met Evskij on a trip four years ago and we have become good mates . This was our fourth trip in as many years .
I’ve made three new mates in Skid06, Astrro and Stevie4scoops and would hope the feeling is mutual .
The fact that Khulu decided to moan on here that he was booted off the WhatsApp chat says it all . He’s obviously oblivious to his actions .
As Ev said above he asks for help and ideas then ignores them all .
Five people quietly enjoying dinner in a lovely hotel after a great days riding with one person being told more then once to lower their voice and then the same person grabbing a lady’s hair and tugging hard causing her to shout out in pain, witnessed by her husband and children .
Utterly disgusting behaviour and lucky the family didn’t take it any further and call the police .
Anyway ,
Last night for us ( me, Astrro and Evskij) .
Had a great night in Rochefort last night

Stayed in the Hotel Mercure in Rochefort last year en-route to Wheels and Waves with the Gnarly Bar Boys - my first time there and have to say it is a most lovely part of the world. Would definitely visit again.
Safe travels back folks
Looks a great trip. How is the barge (Wing) on the twisties? Comment re roads being ‘too twisty’ sounds like they were amazing!

Bar a clear personality clash, it looks to have been a good jaunt. As I know from running the Wanders and other ‘get together’ events, these clashes can happen. It is really difficult to organise jaunts for unknown - and sometimes, known - people, not least as someone will have an idea (or more) on how it can - or should be - arranged differently.
Either way, there is no excuse for loutish or boorish behaviour, especially not towards other hotel guests or diners in a restaurant. Impressions matter, an awful lot. Many posts on this forum demand ‘Biker friendly’ accommodation. The reverse side of that coin, is a demand from the proprietor for a decent level of behaviour from their guests. If people want to behave ‘Like a biker, mate’ I’d suggest that they stick to places catering exclusively for that kind of clientele. If you get pissed and can’t trust yourself to behave, go to bed.
What some bods forget is, whilst they probably won’t be back to that hotel again, others probably will be. The hotel owner will not forget, tarring everyone in the party (and maybe anyone on a motorbike) with same brush. It helps nobody.
Aye, nearly had them…Mind your fingers![]()
Hat off to you Richard, you’ve hit the nail on the head, without even looking at it… Bravo!!!Bar a clear personality clash, it looks to have been a good jaunt.
