Actually I am trying a white Jura wine. First experience for me and it’s very nice….They’ll be offering you Macvin, it’s a local thing, it’s kind of a fortified wine / liqueur type of thing

Any pizza on the menu ?Day 9. Arbois to Labaroche
After an amazing dinner brekky was skipped and we headed out at 0930. It had rained a bit during the night but bright as we left Arbois. Again not so much scenery as much as great roads again. We did pass through a beautiful gorge with river somewhere, no clue where and then upwards into the hills of Les Vosges du sur. A few spats of rain all the way until Munster then it rained a bit making the roads a bit greasy. So just arrived at the penultimate stop which is the lovely La Rochette hotel in Labroche where @JonnyBravo took his Missus a few days ago. Looking forward to a great dinner and then it’s north westwards to our final destination close to Verdun.

Two weeks ago Snap.Day 10. Labaroche to Issincont
Well that’s it. Last day of the tour. Woke up this morning to sunshine and mist. The mist was in the valleys of Les Vosges. Temperatures around 14 degrees. We set off to do a bit of sightseeing today on the last day. Hohrod cemetery, La Linge an American cemetery for WW1 soldiers and finally the Ossuary at Verdun. Weather was brilliant. We actually had just 1 hour of light rain from the day I set out from Harwich 2 weeks ago until today. Just incredible. A really great trip. Tomorrow early start and about 450km for me to The Hague and my riding pal will head to the P&O ferry back to Hull.
Brilliant experience and already planning one for 2027
Total km for me will be 4000km once I get home
