dirt biking in picos

excellent pics we have been down the picos the last 4 years on trail bikes rode the traviso 3 times (watch for the warden) he will stop you from coming down but if you are already on it he lets you go,the weather has always been good (june)and theres loads of off roading to be done so hats off to you for the bmw trail looking forward to going back again this year :clap

I think this is the track i tried to ride a xr400 down about 6 years ago...Got some way down and had to turn round..It was very scarey..Nobody else in the group followed me so i had to man handle it around myself on one of the hairpins because it was not wide enough anywhere else..Will see if i can sort a pic out that someone took of me at the time

Awsome track e'h Garry  The huge problem with a GSA is how far down do you go before you decide its far enough !! It took three of us and some grunting to get the bike back on its wheels and up the start of the hill, I recon if John had gone another two hundred yards further down we wouldnt have been able to turn it round, like you say the track just aint wide enough.
Get your picture on, lets be having a look :thumb

Cutmorej......Is this the track you rode down too..... you nutter! :D

Feck! I'd think twice before walking down that track  !

Cool write-up; now added to my list of places I have to go to!

Fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffantastic :thumb

Just makes me wanna go... thanks for sharing the piccies!

Awsome track is a good discription..How far did you get woody ?.. I never saw the track from where this pic was taken just from the top of the track itself..You could see it dissapearing down the mountain but it was not untill i started to ride it that i realised just how keen it was.. The steepness of 1 got me concerned then the sheer drop at 2 combined with the fact there were 9 to 12 inch steps across the track ( not too bad on the way down but very scary on the way back up ) made my mind up to bail it..Then it was just a case of finding somwhere to turn around 3...All in all it was a very stupid thing to attempt a minor off could have been fatal !
