15 may 2009. UK, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Czech, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, and back. I didn't make Switzerland as family problems so rode home from Italy in 15 hours (just on 1000miles). The others did make it.
The idea was 14 countries in 14 days and as much off road as we could. Best bit was riding up a mountain bike down hill in Slovakia. Worst bit Nigel going home ill and Johns broken gearbox.
We all fell off a few times but no injuries. Off road in Slovakia, Czech, Hungary, Croatia and Slovenia was so easy. We never got in trouble even when we rode into some blokes back garden and all got stuck. He let us ride through his vegetable garden and out a gate. Just would not have happened here.
On one off road ride the gypsies were very surprised when the track we were on led us through their camp!

Roll on the next trip.

He flew home and his bike is on its way. Real shame he found out the hard way about jumping a fully loaded R1100gs without touratech hard parts.

Made these two Honda riders day when they saw the gear box.

The menu at the bottom was not so good. Nobody ordered the first meal!

Are there any tips? Insurance, border, recovery issues that you could advise on.

In case you don't know you need a green card with the countries name on it. Mine just said EU witch is ok for Slovenia but not the others. A pen helped me get in ok

To find off roadtracks just set your garim to auto reroute and unpaved road. Then ride down any track. The moreunpaved tracks you do the more my sat nav sent us down.
