... with any other make there are many many steel threads around your tyre holding it together ... put a hole in it and you break some of the threads, you have to.. there is no doubt as to that, plug it and off you go, but you will be riding on a tyre with a number of broken and weakened threads around the puncture wound that will be inherently weak ...
