i have found what i can only describe as black small rubber bung with a hole in the top of it noticed this on the floor after in had been cleaning my bike r1250 rs it was lying on the side of the shaft drive , dont know if it is off my biken or not never seen it before , trying to load a picture of it from my picture files but dont seem able to manage to do it i know this is vague wondering if anyone has any ideas if it is off the bike??"C:\Users\keffa\OneDrive\Documents\bmw rs rubber.jpeg" thanks

thanks for your help but no not that hard to describe it, it is hollow, one end is sealed with a small opening at the oher end , like a small black bulb ???

managed to load a couple of pics , it was lying on the ground after i finished cleaning my bike mystery to me cant see if it has came off my bike or not ,

My 2016 rs has had the carden shaft replaced and a drain bung fitted to the housing,dont recollect it looking like that though .
Have your brake calipers got covers on the nipples?
i do have a small rubber grommet in the bottom of my shaft drive which looks like it may be some kind of plug tes my caliper nipples have the rubbers on them this is a lot bigger than them approx 3 mm high and approx 20 mm in diameter its a mystery !!!!

cant find anywhere for it ti go like the drawing, mine is the 2023 r 1250 rs looks like a visit to the dealer if i cant find it can i ride it with the bung out ???

thank you very much i would never have found that without your help i was really struggling , i have just managed to locate it is it just a hole in the casting and the rubber pushes into it , i must have pushed it out when i was cleaning it i could not see it from the outside were i was cleaning it , if thats right i will wait till tomorrow now and try and push it back into the hole thanks

managed to fit it back into place pressed and turned it to press back fully looks as if it is back into me , hopefully it is now back in the correct place , i would never had knew that was there without the photo/s from leadfarmer, thanks. when i am passing the bm dealer will have a quick look at the r 1250rs he has in stock the same as mine ,
