Nothing about this on their website.

According to Facebook BMW and Triumph dealerships were closed today.

No comment on Ducati.

I rarely look in that section (and didn’t again yesterday) because these are the responses we get!

I posted here by default because for many of us it’s our local dealer and I am sure there are others in this section who would not have been aware.

First post - not the happiest I'm afraid. I have a friend who works at one of the branches - they were all locked out yesterday & told there will be a meeting today. Thought they had a buyer but sounds like all will be going. Not the best news for them all so close to Xmas

maybe they had agreed to sell the business to Completely Motorbikes...

Wonder what will happen to people’s bikes that are in there to have work done/in bits on the work bench? Could be a while before they get their bikes back!

As a knock on effect to this. Reiten near Sudbury, Suffolk have a 2-3 month waiting list for Serviceing. Caused by the closure of a dealership in Norwich.

Just had a message from one of my friend's that's in the motorcycle industry and said they have a dead line of 3 o'clock this afternoon to do a deal !

If they really are in receivership and not operating, then why have the administrators not issued a statement on the front page of Pidcocks main website ? Companies House still shows as "active" so anyone checking out Pidcocks who has not heard would be none the wiser ?

they have issued a notice of an intention to appoint an administrator so technically not in administration

Companies House will update the "filing history" when they are notified of the administrator

The company will continue to be listed until such time that it is wound up.

Compare to Completely https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/07177616/filing-history

Interesting that if you do a dealer search on the Triumph, BMW and Ducati UK web sites - Pidcocks Triumph has been removed but the Pidcocks BMW and Pidcocks Ducati outlets are still shown as being "live" dealers

I went past Pidcocks BMW on the train today.
The lights were on, there were plenty of bikes in the showroom and a number of cars in the customer car park, though what any of that means I'm not sure.

From the local press:

Redundancies confirmed and dealerships close in firm’s collapse

Jobs remain uncertain and important message has been sent out to customers

Two dealerships have closed after a long-standing motorcycle retailer collapsed into administration. Pidcock Motor Cycles Limited, an approved motorcycle seller for a number of well-known manufacturers, called in administrators following a challenging trading period.

The company has been operating and providing motorcycles in Beeston and Long Eaton since 1975, offering nearing 50 years of service. The demise is said to be linked to cost inflation and 'weak consumer demand'.

Nathan Jones and John Lowe, partners at FRP Advisory, have since been appointed as joint administrators, and confirmed the firm's Ducati Nottingham site in Queens Road, Beeston, and Pidcock Triumph site in Tamworth Road, Long Eaton, have been closed permanently.

The administrators say they have secured interest in the company’s BMW site in Fields Farm Road, Long Eaton, and are currently considering offers from prospective buyers.

As a result of the two sites closing down, FRP have announced that there will be 18 redundancies made with the permanent closure of Ducati and Triumph sites.

The administrators say employees have been made aware and "those affected by the closures will be supported with applications to the redundancy payments service"

Mr Jones said: "Pidcock is not the first retailer to struggle in challenging market conditions over the past year.

"While it’s unfortunate that a viable route forward for all three sites hasn’t been possible, we’re hopeful of a positive outcome for the Company’s BMW outlet. Securing that, as well as supporting employees affected by the closures, is our focus now.”

Sales from all of the company’s sites have been paused and a managed system put in place to allow owners to collect vehicles that have already been purchased. All customer deposits are being protected throughout the administration process and FRP plans to contact customers about how to collect either their vehicle or their deposit in the coming days.
