hi guys quickest and easiest place to attach said fuse to run autocom

You know the item plugs into (piggybacks off) a conventional fuse, usually inside a vehicle's conventional fuse box.

You do know your awesome 1200 GS does not have a conventional fuse box, don't you?

It may not have a fuse box, but the 1200GS LC does have some conventional fuses as standard.
 
Yes, the fuse for the auxiliary lights and the (much larger) fuse for the main ignition circuit.

cheers for the heads up .... should've mentioned its a '16 Adventure . my 1st Bmuu so not up to speed on all things (anything) electricky
 
Under the riders seat there are two fuses. I doubled up on the 7.5 amp one to power a dashcam.

That would be the 7.5 amp for the left multifunction switch and tyre pressure monitoring system. The 10 amp is for the dash and alarm system.
