Has anyone got any suggstions on fitting a back rest on my 1200GSA top box. My wife's light coloured leather jacket is getting scuffed on the aluminium box, and I want to fix some kind of neat looking pad or something-can you guys help?..

Why not put some clear sticky film (fablon eg) on the top box? Don't loose any room then

BMW offer an optional backrest specific to the 1200GSA luggage.
Alternatively you can fit another backrest such as the one sold by Hepco and Becker.

I bought the BMW back rest, specifically for the GS luggage. It was quite expensive I thought, at £50, but it is a good part and my wife is a happier pillion with it fitted.

Yep, got the BMW one on the vario topbox, can't complain (but I don't use it) my son's happy enough when he's on the back though. Looks the job as well
