[ PS Make the image a link to the website :thumby: ]

Applause for providing the anitidote to the new year dating ad mania for those that can't be arsed finding a pillion anymore:D

Actually I had a more serious thought after that post, maybe an optional power adapter for the case

Actually, the more I look at it the more it gives me the horn so yeah, I'm very happy with the evolution and how it's turned out :) gonna make a 'proper' one now, Tig weld it all up, get it powder coated and put some sexy stainless bungee hooks on it :)

Talking of sexy check out my 'honeymoon hat' in the top right hand corner - yes, my lady is a lucky lady :) - or it could be my drill safety hat.............

Seriously, thanks to all for helping me make something the customer 'Billy' will be chuffed with - it's a result of a lot of input from bikers.

That looks good

Just one suggestion

On each side put two lashing lugs so as to tie down anything that is put on top

Good idea but it`s at odds at the fellow tosser who wanted the tie down lugs on the top, so allowing the box still to be opened.

This could be one of those `can`t please all the people all the time` moments....................:blast

The trouble with lid mounting lugs is there is only the lock and hinge straining to hold the bag as it moves about on the bike but side mounted lugs with have the retaining mechanism holding the weight

Well that's a good point too! So what's it gonna be guys........ lid mounted or side mounted.........????

Or maybe both? Note how the yank version has none at all, damn their business acumen........ :)

Also, and only IMHO, we could always use the pannier rail as purchase points for bungees? This would stop any opening of the lid of course but I feel that just a few bungee hoops on the lid would suffice for waterproofs etc and hopefully not make it look 'too fussy' or 'busy' or 'shite' (to quote Johnny Boxer)!

Don’t over complicate. Cheap and cheerful straps from eBay that go under the lid then over the top and your waterproofs will do the trick
