170/60 17 is available as pr4gt.
The gt is harder in the middle than the standard pr4, as it is designed for heavier bikes, think goldwing/harley and the like. So should last longer.
The pr4t is softer on the sides/middle than the standard pr4, slightly less life but better grip.

As TAG stated the rear tyre is available in the GT range of the Road Pilot 4 tyres.
I've had two sets on my 2015 Adv, using the trail on the front and the GT version on the rear, no issues and I'm happy with the handling/wear.
The GT versions were fitted by BMW, as OEM, to the R1200RT which is a similar weight to the GSA.

yep harder in the middle, so if you do a lot of motorway riding does not square off as much

How very dare you.
Pr4t is an excellent tyre and the Road 5 is rated even better by the development riders.
Even with 50% wear it grips as well as the pr4 new.
But tyres are subjective, and what one rider believes is brilliant, another thinks is horrible.
