That is probably where I saw it.
Expensive, unless you ride all the year around. Used to be an extra on the Sys 2 helmet.

Yes I have also wondered that ,, used them for years , but truthfully ,, pinlock is really not very good .
Doesn’t matter how carefully they are adjusted on the cam pins , they always seem to leak in due course and the material is SO soft it’s difficult to keep it clean without marking it - - - imho !
Thanks for the feedback, it has to be related to airflow. I had her visor on my lid today and took her V-Strom 800 for a spin and had no issues, I'm guessing because I'm taller and had a bit of air flow over the screen.
I've a mate who uses a Neotec 3 when riding either his RT or R1250R, he has huge problems when on the RT due to the amount of weather protection.
I'll have a look at a mesh chin curtain which might help and worth a try for the money.
As for an alternative to a pinlock, I'm surprised no one has made a double glazed visor, a 2nd piece of optical quality plastic bonded to the main visor with no chance of leaks. But I guess with poor airflow you'd still likely to get some fogging.

It might be worth riding without the chin curtain fitted first. This way you will know if it does make a difference.
I would disagree. I have used pinlock for over 20 years ride all year around and have never had any issues with them. You do need to replace occasionally and I did scratch my latest one on my Neotec 3 with the velcro from my gloves I shoved in the helmet - doh!

TBH I only experienced misting of a pinlock on one occasion, they seem reliable

just checked mine. No curtain fitted and still fogs up on lower third. Might actually be beneficial to put curtain back on. Maybe the heat/air inside needs to stabilise to equal the misting..? Colder air flowing in vs your heated breath would def cause misting. Less airflow might inhibit that

i have just read that shoei have a new visor system e; dryloc that will be available soon,

Yeah I’ve just been looking at that. It looks interesting. Obviously price will have a large influence on how well it sells. With so many modern helmets have drop down sun visors the tint might not be the biggest draw for it.
