Hi all, anyone recommend accommodation in West Scotland – Oban/Fort William/Killin for Saturday night 28th September and Sunday night 29th September.
Three blokes on three bikes.
Had tried to get a Yurt or camping hut/wigwam at Loch Tay but everything like that is booked everywhere!
Would consider B&B or small decent cheapish hotel, preferably in a town so we can walk to a pub, or a hotel with a decent pub attached! Planning a day on Sunday over to Ardnamurchan Point, and then on Monday maybe over to Glenshee/Cairnwell before heading back south to the flatlands.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Royal hotel Oban (town centre) stayed there July £55 for single room B&B. Good breakfast, rooms a bit dated but clean, large basement garage at rear for leaving bikes. Would stay there again.

Ben Nevis Hotel and Leisure Club in Fort William, also stayed there in July £65 for single room B&B. Again a bit dated but good facilities and another good breakfast. About a mile from town centre (£5 in a taxi, as it will be pissing down). Would also stay there again.

The West End Hotel which is the big hotel on the roundabout at the entrance to Fort William town is ok and is not expensive if you ask for a deal (think i paid £35 last time) it has pub/and food on site which aint bad at all :thumby:

Give The Galley of Lorne in Ardfen a call.

Or if you are feeling all Adventure Rider tough, just up the track from them Ardfern Tipis. Proper Tipis , not yer wodden sheds. He's got a yurt as well.

sorted!

Hi all, thanks for information.
We've booked in at the Corran Bunkhouse.

Just hope the weather is good for the trip now!

We used to stay at Shore Cottage in the 70's.:rob

Blackwater lodges in kinlochleven. They have wigwams and hostel accomadation. It's a five minute walk to the pubs.
