Plastic panels

My black plastic panels on my GS are starting to look really dull and full of swirls, has anyone found a good polish to get rid of these on a black plastic panel just with elbow grease?

Polishing them out will not be easy, I have tried.
I have found Silicone lubricant or Mr Sheen good at disguising the swirls and reapply every couple of weeks or so.

Top tip 1. Use a heat gun.

Top tip 2. Don’t melt the plastic.

Top tip 3. If unsure about the second top tip, ask your mum.
