Hi Adi,

Are you thinking of the standard BMW panniers or bespoke aluminium jobbies?

If your bike has the pannier rails fitted already then there are plenty of standard system panniers for sale on the site. I have a pair for sale myself. :)

I should point out here that in order to buy or sell on the site you must be a Site Sponsor. £12 per annum, but probably the best money you will ever spend on your GS. You get access to the For Sale & Wanted section and the ability to send & receive PM's (private messages).

hmmm. I'm not so convinced with this 'cheap bmw panniers' idea. i've followed a number of auctions for a pair since january and they nearly always go for over 200 quid unless they are either a) beaten to an inch of their life, or B) the locks are knackered.
Personally, I went for SW motech removable racks (have saved my life once already on my old bike due to their seriously strong build quality) and a pair of Alpos aluminium panniers. All in price delivered - a shade under 300 notes. Can't say fairer than that. and they look the business!

Aiden,
Thanks for the advice. The bike already has the frames to take both bmw panniers. I would be interested in yours. Can you tell me about them before I part with my £12 (scottish are mean you know!). Age? Locks? Price?
Where do you live -can they be picked up?
Cheers,

Adi

Soft Panniers..

If your not looking for hard aluminium cases, and want some soft luggage.
I can do the waterproof ortlieb panniers as well as the rackpacks.

To be honest depending how long your trip is and if your solo, two up, camping or not camping, you might get away with just a soft luggage roll or rackpack bag.

Just something to consider. Click on the link below. I don't have the ortlieb panniers or tank bags up on the site yet. They should be arriving shortly, but I can say they are bloody well made.

These are the soft panniers I can do, for interest.

thanks for that. don't mind 'softies' but how do these work on the exhaust side of the gs? i also have the bmw pannier frames fitted - do these suit?
cheers,

Adi

Hi Aiden,
I take it we cannot even chat about the panniers until you get my 20 quid?
Nice way to welcome newbie's.
Cheers,

Adi
