Please help - dead battery

Full or side stand causing ?.

Had My Bike in dealers today to have battery checked as been running down over the past few weeks and just about started the other morning.
Was informed that I should not start bike whilst it is on full stand or side stand, as i do not start bike when on full stand and only occasionally start with side stand down (not intentially) do not see how this affects starting.
Dealer said will do software update when they receive it in a few weeks.

Does anyone else experience starting problems when starting with side stand down?.

Sounds like a load of coblers to me. I've just been away for a month and mine started first turn (on the centre stand).

Don't be a sap for the "it's supposed to do that sir" mentality of some dealers!
