Out of interest, did/does the 1150 have the same problem with screens?

Yup...1150GS screen is the worst of the lot.....MRA is your friend.

I have 2010 gs. Wind noise and turbulence was shocking. I came from a naked bike and am used to wind. I have af330 + wunderlich screen vario + BMW wings. All set to lay the screen as low as possible. No problems for 35000 km. I adjust the screen height with the top sliding screen.

6'2 and I rarely need the screen extended all the way.
