Hi Help needed
I plugged my unit in to check for updates today and all seemed to go well , but when I turned on later I got a message on unit screen saying "system software missing " . this is a problem as the device will now not boot and I,m heading to Europe in 3 weeks.
Anyone any ideas ?
Cheers in advance

mine did exactly the same the other day. I'm afraid it is a return to Garmin one. Here's the reply they sent to me

"Thank you for contacting Garmin Europe.

I am happy to help you.

The 'System Software Missing' error message you are receiving isn't something that can be resolved by you at home. The unit will need to be returned to us so we can resolve the issue in house. This will be carried out under warranty. If you can confirm the following details I can then book in your unit and provide further returns details.

Telephone number:
Full name:
Email address:
Postal address where the device is being returned to:
With this I can assist you further."

Happened to me, and had to send back to Garmin…..keep chasing them and you'll get it back in plenty of time

Cheers guys I thought as much ... I emailed them Monday , still no reply so logged on yesterday to my account and requested a repair .
Cheers

Yep that's what I did ... wish I,d done it Monday when it faulted ... anyway 20 on hold but sorted with conformation that they need it there and a Returns number :blast

there is a work around for this, but if you do not consider yourself tech savvy garmin is your option.

For future reference it may be better to back up the device to to the computer for this occurrence

With your Zumo hooked up to your computer, navigate to the GARMIN drive and copy the entire garmin folder to your computer.
