Polishing out screen scratches?

If your going to use wet & dry start with 1000 grade with a sanding block then use 1500 grade after that gently polish with a polishing mop. This will only fix the edge scratches the other seems too deep

You could just leave it alone, at least until you decide to sell it. It will be reminder that you maybe got away quite lightly, and another falling down event might be worse.

you can try getting scratch remover from a caravan shop I used it some years ago on an 1150 screen

Not a bad idea ;)
I've ordered some Xerapol and I'll have a go at one of the less visible gouges. I think they're too deep to polish out fully without removing a lot of material with wet and dry but I might be able to 'smooth the ridges' and reduce the appearance.

I think there is some kind of coating on the screen, probably a scratch-proof coating. A few years ago, on my first GS, whilst changing the screen, I felt it slip from my hand whilst about to lay it down on a cloth. It rolled on to a concrete floor which left it with a few light scratches. I tried polishing these out using something like T-Cut, then finishing with Duraglit for a finer finish. As I got past what I think was the coating the plastic got slightly softer and easier to work. Unfortunately, although the scratches were gone you could see a difference in colouration between the 'coated' areas and those that had been polished. It looked better than it was, but it was never going to be perfect again.
