poor low end power

hi guys

for the last couple of months i have been getting poor low end power

i.e. when accelerating from the lights it seems to lag a little then go and just feels like its missing something.

is this just shitty petrol? i just use the bog standard crap.

any ideas?

Undo the cover. Look at what happens to the unit when the ignition is turned on. If there's no movement, it's seized.

Ok as I seem to be thick as fuck where abouts is this? Have looked on the bike but can't find the thing :/

On the exhaust on 2010 and later bikes: not fitted on earlier versions.

Ahhhh that would be why then mines a 2008

Make sure the cables are properly seated in the injector bodies.

Has the bike sat around for a few months, waiting for the currant bun to appear?

If so, take it out and ring its neck, through ALL the gears*, right up to the red bit for several miles. The engine will not burst. It may well fix it and it's a cheap way to find out first.


PS Didn't you have a problem of some sort with the throttle cables? http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2988502&postcount=1 and the mysterious thing that went BANG!
