Managed a 300 mile loop of the lakes and dales yesterday :JB

This included a warm up on Wrynose  followed by HK :eek::eek:

Apprehensive to say the least. Found myself thinking positive thoughts and laying on the tank in a sub conscious effort to keep the front wheel down.

Used some back brake on the way down and I can confirm that ABS works

Called into Cockermouth afterwards. The place is still half empty of business, and even some of the open places have only done so in the last 4 weeks.

Finished off with a quick dash to Ullswater and a cool down over Kirkstone.

Great weather :Motomartin great riding :thumb2 great day :beerjug:

Congratulations.

Your next task it to do a u turn on HK pass, I had to......twice:blast

Well, it was more of a 7 point turn actually :blush

Well done. HK IMHO is nasty.

I'm hoping for a dry day this week oop North, (I cant see it being 32deg like down here! - bliss) and I might give the HK another bash.

Uhm... Like Mort, I did a U-Turn halfway up HK, in the wet with panniers, taking 2-3mins and very, very slowly, shaking all over all whilst visualising the bike sliding down the the road and off over the edge.

Wheee.....

U -ies on the HK pass :eek::eek: respect there
My butt dined on saddle the first time I went down it and I thought Zig-Zag Hill at pace was scary enough (NOT!). It wasnt much less scary going the other way and going down the wrynose meeting a tour van coming up.
