Portsoy 10 to 12 September 2021

Well I managed to get my luggage Wednesday, made some brackets and assembled fitted it Thursday night so my camping is now confirmed. I though that I was going to be bunkhouse/BB with no carrying capacity beyond a rucksack.

Mosko Moto have been out of stock for weeks and this was close as I'm away all this week, get back Thursday and leave forPortsoy Friday morning. This will be a good trial of my travel bike.

I wired my heated gillet into the hexcan yesterday, and it's throwing a fit.

keeps giving the red led :(

fucking laptop is being an arse, and says every cable i use to connect is a non data cable , so it wont see the hexcan

so one of them is fucked :(

but looking at the hexcan its a bit bizarre, it goes on about keeping everything Under 30 amp

horn 25Amp

Lights front 10amp

Light rear 5amp

and then the max i can give for the last circuit is 4amp

looks like it's a direct to battery jobby then

Fcuk it, I'm going up early, setting off Tuesday. Can't waste this good weather. Possibly the summer suns last hurrah.:Motomartin

Ha ha, I'm not sure it would go down well with the locals. But hey, it's a modern world.:D

Sorry All,

I've been signed off work with fatigue/exhaustion and Scotland's too far for me to contemplate driving from Devon, so we're heading closer to home today and won't make it this year.

Have a good one.

Rich

I’m just about to leave. Midlands to Newcastle today for a bit of work, then Stirling, Ullapool, round the top and arrive in Portsoy on Friday. Safe journey all!

I set off Thursday
Camping at Falkirk
Check out the wheel and Kelpies
Friday I might park under the Forth bridge for a nice bike photo
Then off to Portsoy :)

Take care Rich, see you further along :thumb2

Change of plan for me and my buddy, we will arrive Thursday now as we are going to take advantage of the good weather tomorrow to get
most the way up. Stopping over at Bridge of Cally Hotel which, for me, will be about 330 miles, bit shorter for Mark :thumb2

Was out west yesterday and met 2 members from this parish in Spean Bridge who were heading to Skye and giving the NC500 a crack before arriving in Portsoy on Friday.

Can’t remember their names but two lovely gents from Sheffield both on dark GSA’s.

Good chance meeting and looking forward to the merry throng this weekend.
