Was a nice day today weather wise in NE Scotland so took a little trip up the coast roads..... I usually stop off at Banff when up that way but today I thought I would carry on to Portsoy. I have been through it in the past but never explored it really and wanted to have a look as I knew this event was coming up.........
It's a really nice small town, 17th century harbour and a few nice places to eat, drink and wander around. Some excellent roads around the area as well and a good few other coastal towns and villages close by for short rideouts.
I'm sure it will be an enjoyable time

I was really considering this trip, unfortunately having tried a night of camping for the first time in many years without an electric hookup, it has proven that I can’t sleep a full night without my CPAP machine. I’ll be working on methods for portable power for the future, but can’t get something in place by this trip.

Northern Jock a good suggestion, I’d figured that all the hostel rooms would have been taken, Santa, possibly an option, but I’d rather not impose on someone else.
Having got a full flat puncture down at Bamburgh at the weekend (Saturday morning) and managing to limp home thanks to the highly recommended Airman Tour portable pump, I’ll have to see when I can get the bike back on the road (new tyre ordered).
Then starts the process of marriage approval, we’ll see, perhaps even catching up with some guys on the way up (as I’m in Edinburgh might be an option… running “interception”).

I am afraid I am not going to make it now.... George (son) has just taken a booking for both safety boats to cover an event. It needs both of us and both boats and he will lose the contract if we don't do it, with other events off the back of it we can't turn it down.

What's whatsapp?
A simple app oldies can use, you send the group organiser your mobile number by PM
Download the app and wait for a message inviting you to the group to arrive
Accept the invite, and then get realtime messages form the other members of the group.
when it's all over delete the app and forget everything
