I was fortunate to camp beside FBB, as I had never met him previously, it’s quite funny when you start talking to folks at theses events, I discovered that I had bid on some of his for sale items over the years but just didn’t put it all together until we started chatting. Anyway he and Wendy did us proud with their hospitality.
I wish someone had drone footage of him at 6ft2 on his monkey bike leading 10ish tossers on big adventure bikes in the pish- -g rain at 45-50 mph all the way to his house (45 min ).
Anyway thanks to you Bob for an entertaining weekend, some of your previous biking history was a revaluation.
Brian

Nice to meet you too Brian, thanks for your company over the weekend👍Glad you enjoyed the cakes.

Another thanks for all those involved in organising the BBQ, the food was excellent, varied and plenty of it👍

Just back in from a cracking weekend, cheers to all who made it possible, theBBQ was great , and was nice to meet up again with some old faces and new ones, hope it's not as long till next time! Cheers Baz.

On a side note, to everyone who stayed at the Station Hotel, were your tyres OK?
Came out this morning and my rear had lost 1bar of pressure, no signs of a nail, pumped up to pressure and stayed at required setting for the journey home .

Just back from an amazing weekend my first and won't be my last UK GSER events. The BBQ was great thank you. and to meeting new people. Thanks to posh Pete for showing me around

That’s 466 miles done and now home after just over 8 hours. A good uneventful journey back.
Especially considering what time I left the pub last night !

A big thank you to all those I met over the last few days and the great hospitality and friendship shown to me.

Thanks for a great weekend, liked it so much I’m staying another week.
Currently in Scourie, awesome scenery.
Road ain’t bad either

Just checked the photos, what a shower of fat, middle class utter wankers you lot all look :blast

I couldn't think of anything worse spending my valuable time in the company of such a group of tossers, so glad I choose to spend my weekend getting down and dirty riding through the Scottish highlands deep in the hills just north of Balmoral Castle on my new steed. :D

Glad you enjoyed it though ;)

Thanks for great weekend. The Sail Loft was a great place to stay.Good to catch up old faces & some new ones. Our journey north continues.

Thank you Alisdair (Northern Jock), Khulu and all the others whose hard work made this such an enjoyable weekend….good company and good grub, and even my first swim in the North Sea this year.

Smooth 610 mile ride home today, good memories of a really beautiful place! And over 2,000 miles including the circuit of Ireland before and after the Leenane event last weekend, so overall a great start to September :beerjug:

Why don't you just fuck off .... and when you've fucked off turn round and see how far you've fucked off, then turn right round back again and fuck right off some more ....

You said you were coming, didn't even have the politeness to tell Alastair you weren't .... wanker!

I know of three very nice adult people that would have come, had they known you weren't ... double wanker

Oh .... and we're so feckin glad now that you chose to spend the weekend somewhere else :D

Triple wanker ...

Many thanks for the time and effort put into organising such a great do!
Met some new folk and some old mates.:beerjug:

Aye, a wee bit of politeness would have helped

Thanks to Alastair and everyone else who worked so hard to put together a really great weekend. This was my first GSer event but it won’t be my last. What a great bunch of friendly and welcoming people with great stories to tell.
Thanks to Simon and Kev for the handy camp cooking tips :thumb
Thanks to FBB for leading the rideout ‘out’ and for marrying such a great baker :D and to Posh Pete for leading us back via some points of interest and for providing a wee restorative dram later on.

Lets do it again next year and hope for better weather.

Micky, just reflect upon how many mini-cab drivers you dealt with in the past, then ask yourself why you expected more; then take the dog for a walk :thumb

Clearly left a lasting impression :thumb2

Well done to Alastair and all who made this a great weekend.

Fame at last! :D Warden Ian is trying to promote the Sail Loft on social media. I'm not sure if this pic will help! However, anyone who comes to tour Scotland by bike, car, cycle or whatever would seriously miss out if they did not book a couple of nights here. The quality of the place is just fantastic and warden Ian is a really nice, helpful chap. Well, he's a Yorkshireman after all!

This morning's brekkers of fried fresh mackeral and salad, a cafetiere of coffee and fabulous view over the Moray Firth. As the old chap says in "Local Hero" :"I wonder what the poor people are doing today?". :D
