Portsoy weekend 26 to 29 August 2022

Just decided the A95 is the best road after Glencoe, although i think the writing may be

on the wall for Glencoe, the amount of bikes, GS's,

included, who had zero regard for speed limits, only adds fuel, to the specs fire.

Looks like there laying the trunking for the camera's at the northern end of the road.

How long before they join the dots so to speak

Thanks for Organising Alastair :thumb2,
Just a flying visit but nice to meet the troops :thumb2
Nice weather , good night sky , and another wee camp out at Strontian on the way home :thumb2
Cheer folks :beerjug:

Great to see you Symon.. I'll be calling in at Strontian for a few days on this 'M'off' :D:thumb2

Crabby would be too busy tending to the greens at St. Andrews. :thumb2

.... or supermarket shopping in the dark :D

:beerjug:

Has anyone left this “survival kit” here … I will soon be leaving … if it’s yours shoutup quickly and I will take it home and post it to you
There’s no Rohypnol or viagara tablets in there so it can’t be Mickys kit :P

Sorry I missed this. I've been on the island behaving badly with another bunch of pensioners. Maybe next time when it will doubtless blow a hooly and pish down.

I left my long teaspoon behind :(

oh well i'll have to pinch another one from the mrs ;)

Hard to have a better weekend with a few good folk.

A few had to drop out for various reasons and that is fully understood but as it was a holiday weekend the campsite would have preferred to have more notice occasionally to be able to let unused spots. I think if we do it again they will ask for normal deposits for Sail Loft rooms or campervan spots. I can't assure him we'll fill the Sail Loft or all the van spots I reserve up front.

A great location and worth a visit, alone or with others.

I have the same with the Dent Weekend Alastair, people book, places reserved, but they don't turn up and don't let you know beforehand and cancel :blast

A great location indeed ... Iain (runs the site) came by this evening to say goodbye and wish me well because he wont be here in the morning when I leave :)

Lovely fella, does a great job :thumb2

I'll either be at Strontian or here for the New Year :D

Anyone?

On my way home being as it is such a lovely day I have gone from Loch Lomond, now in Tarbert , then onto Arran on the ferry all as suggested by Alastair, Northern Jock . Stunning roads and scenery… :okay

That's good you went with that route, better than getting round Glasgow and a wee island chucked in :thumby:

I suppose it is a marginal improvement from the Glasgow ring road :aidan
