Hi folks,

I`m in the middle of fitting my 2 pairs of PIAA 002`s & was wondering where the best place would be to fit the 2 relays. I`ve test fitted them under the tool tray & the thickness of the wiring coming out doesn`t let it sit properly :( I`ve seen BTBR position under the tank but would like to have them available to keep an eye on potential corrosion.
I`ve coated the internals of the switch in silicon grease for the dipped beam lights for a bit of waterproofing!

Any help much appreciated :thumb

Cheers

Have a look at my post on Hella micro DE HIDs. I mounted the two relays on the same M6 bolt on a plate in the tool tray. One relay on each side of the plate. Underneath the plate are also two fuses. Everything fit in fine. I kept the plate seated by using the rubber strap that normally secures the tool kit. Have a look at the pictures.

best of luck.

Cheers for that :thumb I was wanting to keep my tools in the same position so might have to look elsewhere for positioning. I think I`ll try the sticky velcro to attach them to a suitable bit then they`ll be able to be removed & without drilling any holes into anything :thumb

I made sure mine were well protected with heatshrink etc, then self-amalgamating tape, then I cable tied them under the tank to the ECU bracket.

Safe and dry under the tank, not likely to get corroded.:thumb

I also gave everything a good spray with WD40 whilst the tank was removed.

I`m doing the job now & have removed the tank, easier than expected :D , so I think I`ll put them under it then a good spray of that scottoiler stuff :thumb
