thanks for the replies. reinforcing some things I have heard through my IAM training - ' don't sacrifice safety for position' , anticipate worse case. what i like is the idea of flexibilty in thinking about lines and not using a one size fits all approach. this is certainly how i will be speaking to my traineees when I hope to qualify as an observer this year.
these brow of a hill bends seem to have potential to catch of us out if we take a wide line. Interesting to hear Giles saying that he keeps well to nearside round one such and this is how i will approach this similar bend in future. managed today to get some photos taken of ther bend i was speaking about below. I was further out and think I saw the van just after the point at which the second photo was taken. last one is view the other way
