positive or negative

can anyone tell me which bit of the bmw accesory plug is positive and which bit negative?

Centre pins should always be positive but just connect a bulb to your new plug's centre pin and touch the other wire to the frame or gearbox If it doesn't light it's been wired wrong
Looks Like this but smaller of course
