Hi all
Im just a lurker
I often read the 1200 posts just to to get a feel of whats going on , but to be honest it saddens me when all i read is sad news ive had more good rides than bad
Ive not had any problems with my bike
Its a joy to ride come rain or shine
The only problem i have is putting too many miles on the thing
Tell me and others what a great bike we have please

Have a nice christmas

Oh no!

Please be assured you have a great bike there.

I fear you will suffer for that innocent post tho', there are some cruel big boys around these parts

It's not real life dear, it's an internet forum :thumb2

Everyone who has had a problem will post that problem here.....but the vast majority, who have never had a problem, will just get on with enjoying the bike.

Anything you pick up from the 'sad news' should be viewed with that in mind.....the GS isn't where it is today because it's a crap bike, and you have to get things in perspective.....if you read the equivalent forums for pretty much any marque of bike and take it to heart, you would feel the same way about ALL bikes :blast

Of course, riding a 1200 does mean you are ghey, inadequate and a sad wannabe, but that goes without saying ;)

Don't worry about it, just enjoy it :clap

mmmmnn so very close to having a good thing said

go on.....

i know someone has a good post to give

surely

it cant be that difficult ..... can it ?

You get to meet more people when riding a 1200:thumb2

Nice men
Rac, aa, green flag, bmw customer support, that sort of thing!

thats more like it

a feel good quote

keep it up :clap

thankyou SHEP this could the begining of something beautiful

All forums are the same, tales of woe about all the things that have gone wrong, I've done the same but my GSA has, unfortunately, been utterly reliable and fault free over the 6000 miles I have done since May, I'm beginning to think I'm doing something wrong.

62000 trouble free miles on my previous gs
luved everyone of them

25000 trouble free miles on my current gs
luved everyone of them

all i do is clean and service it myself regular

let the good times roll :bounce1

I have had my 1200 for 5 1/2 years and I love it. Riding it always brings a smile on my face. I also have two other Bikes.

For some reason there are guys on this site who troll the 1200 section and jump on every problem some-one has with a 1200. Some do it to be funny and sometimes it is. Others do it for reasons that I don't know why. I guess 1200 owners could troll the 1100 and 1150 section, but we don't.

ohhh nooo

SHEP ...... you little bugger you edited your post
just when i thought you were on to a good thing

please try again , but more effort please

You'll probably find that most people, just like me, don't even know they're in the 1200 section.

I use the 'latest posts' button to read stuff.......so until you said that, I genuinely didnt know this was in that particular section.

Browsing like that, you end up making comments in a lot of areas that you may nor otherwise go in....the fact that a lot of the comments in the 1200 section are as they are is more of a result of what a significant minority of the posts are like, not about those who make them :thumb2

Personally, I don't give a flying toss what people ride, but their attitudes and whether they 'get it' or not is far far more important ;)

Those 1200 riders who do 'get it' are as offended about the comments they receive as the airhead owners who 'get it' are about the fact that they are accused of smelling of wee......it all depends how you take it I guess :nenau

Some of the best guys on the site ride 1200s, but also, a LOT of the worst ones do too ;)

I love everyone though :kissy2

Except the French

And the Welsh :blast

eeree

i love the french , some of the best roads

and the welsh have some crackers too

some positive points would be nice :comfort

oh well i did try

it started ok

got a little better

then it turned into what i hoped it wouldnt

never mind :blast

You seem to be needing some sort of affirmation that you have the right bike :nenau

You have.

Enjoy :thumb
