Possible dumb question about the cylinders.

I had the screen off on my 05 GS at the weekend and I was also fitting a nippy normans horn!! Whilst fitting the horn, I noticed that the left hand (from on the bike) engine protector bar (BMW) is about an inch closer to the cylinder head than the right hand side.

It's kind of hard to tell from on the bike but is the left hand cylinder further forward then the right? The bars all look straight and in line, I checked everything I could see. I haven't whacked the bars of anything so that was my thought ??

Matt, It sounds like you have a Left-hand drive import - not officially available in the UK.

You should take it to your dealer to make sure it is road-legal in this country :rob

Al - he quite clearly states it's an '05 model. In which case, you know as well as anybody else that it's not covered by the revised legislation.

Probably worth repeating in case this affects anybody else; the only bikes affected are post '07 :thumb
