Hello folks,

We, that is, Touratech, are coming up to the Scottish bike show for the first time. A thought we are having is that we have a post event ride out with anyone that wishes to join in. Nick Plumb (of Paris Dakar notoriety) will be around to ride about for the Monday, but we'd welcome some advice as to what would be a suitably interesting route.

Any thoughts folks?
Anyone fancy joining in?

Would there be an incentive to attend a TT stand, eg 20-25% off type incentive? :nenau
And would there be guarantees of delivery time if we decided to purchase, 'cos I assume you will not have any goodies with you? :nenau
I personally am looking for an 1150GS Adventure headlight grill but £70.41 minus 25% = £52.81 is still a bit ...

Lots of great routes. We'll post them up a month after the show. :D

Ah that Scots wit, I remember it well from the Gathering of the Clans last year in Ullapool.

Perhaps a jaegermeister or several, would help?

7 to 10 working days at the outside...free postage perhaps. But this isn't an advert, this is just a request to see if anyone wants to go for a rideout after the show. I'll be making my way back south straight after the event, but Nick's not ridden in Scotland before. I don't think he's signing autographs or anything like that, just riding along looking at places and enjoying the company I hope.
And what a chance to speak to the TT guy for the UK directly, perhaps express an opinion or two...

H.R.H. OONYACK, I'll have to dip into the archives and see when you last bought anything sir.
What's that statistic, one good recommendation is passed to an average of 3 people, one critical comment is passed to 65. Rather a sad statement of the nature of folks, still I guess it's easier to convince folks that you are correct if you tell them not to do something and then they don't.

Things change.

Until recently I too was just a TT customer...granted over in the USA, which if my geography teacher taught me anything, he taught me was further away from Germany than the UK.
21 days there.
7 to 10 working days here. Which is better than the bed I bought the other day. There it was in the shop, they took my money in advance (we only charge when the part arrives and is ready to go out), then they said 30 days for deliver. The shop was 20 miles away.
Somehow that was acceptable, maybe because there's not a forum for it?

Anyway, as I said, this isn't a commercial, just an inquiry to see if any of you fancy a ride after the show and would be willing to show Nick some of the local delights. Seemed a fair enough question when I first asked it...still does actually.

One simple answer Type touratech into the search button over 10k members percentage that have been fucked over mmmmm Einstein couldne work that wan oot :augie

You may find that a bunch of halfwits might want to show him around Scotland, probably english and gay:beerjug:

I can see it noo Andy H, Garfud, Packer wi Skyenet and his wean eatin free burgers listening tae the Birdy song.

Plumb will chust love it:D

Goin' to give the Scottish bike show a miss this year I reckon. Last two years, bikes were diverted to the Kincardine Bridge instead of the Forth Bridge 'cos of high winds, seems to be expected on that weekend, and that makes it 90 miles each way for me instead of 60...

Oh and every year the show gets worse.

And more expensive to get in.

And fewer exhibitors every year...

...can you see where I'm going with this?

HRH, I'm assuming that" I will not be able to join you on the convivial ride that you'd like to undertake while visiting the scenic and hospitable location that is Scotland" is what you are attempting to say? Or am I missing the point amidst the other verbiage that is being spewed out in a manner reminiscent of various folks stomach contents, post alcoholic drinking fest that was Gathering of the Clans?

I would be delighted to hear of the first hand accounts of your personal experiences in dealings with Touratech, the ones you've had, personally, PM me and I'll send you my business email, otherwise I think the question originally asked here will be lost amongst a different agenda that for some reason you feel it's appropriate to interject with.

Oh, Callum's Road...I'm adding a new section to the TT links for riders riding for causes. PM me if you'd like me to add links and possibly do a bit in a future news letter.

Finally, even if HRH isn't joining in, does anyone fancy a ride out after the show, or have a few decent tips on suitably good roads to ride?

Yes I am perfectly able to join in a convivial ride but choose not to :thumb2
Rideouts are generaly organised for the benefit of site members and not to furnish companies with good PR which has nothing to do with spewing my ring near on 8 months ago.:thumb2
Site members give a lot of time and effort for there internet mates and the SS is probably the busiest for activities on the site but it is purely done for the members benefit.

No I will not pm you nor shall I furnish you with details of incompetence and poor customer service of said company:thumb2

You could always use the search button

Hope this is not meant to be a rod to which I must yield to:rob
You may be better to contact Thunder or the boys which actually took part in the event it was only my idea I did not partake.

To help the site members who wish to organise a ride out for your company how far you you like the ride to be in miles and time. Would you like refreshments organised on the route. Who would be in charge and held accountable.
