I parked up next to a 2011 GS Triple black yesterday. Given how uncomfortable me and my passenger are finding the seat on my standard 2011 GS, I was interested to note that the TB seat appeared different in profile. Mine's a two tone finish with the front and back seats being almost flat in profile. The TB's rider seat (with the embossed GS logo) had a dished profile and the passenger seat had a discernable 'bump' to help prevent the passenger sliding forward. Both were standard fitments according to the TB owner who kindly let me and my passenger sit on his bike. Whilst it was difficult to discern any real difference just sitting statically, I suspect the dishing may help with the rider comfort and the slightly deeper appearance of the passenger seat would indicate more padding than my seat has. I'm wondering if my bike has the adventure seat. Would I be better off comfort wise with a TB seat? The Airhawk I bought eases the pain up to a point but is really designed for a big cruiser type seat and buges in uncomfortable places even with the minimum of air in it. I'd rather have a saddle that doesn't require an add on. After 150 miles over Saturday, my passenger ended up with two distinct bruises on her behind from the saddle!
