Fylingdales moor is a disgrace its only a matter of time before somebodys hurt, last year Feb 2010 they put up signs saying :temp road surface: still there. Worst part is the entrance to the R.A.F. site and down to ellerbeck.

You can use the following two websites to report potholes and submit photos. I'm not 100% sure but I think once a council has been notified then they are legally obligated to repair it?
You don't have to be a cyclist to use the rather dodgy named 'Fill That Hole'.org . And the other one is Love Clean Streets which can also be used to report blocked/locked footpaths, dumped rubbish etc.
I reported a pothole last year using Fill That Hole, and I don't know if it was because of that or purely coincidence, but the council repaired it within the same week.

Also www.fixmystreet.com sends to the specific council, keeps records and follow-ups.
I have found that if enough people hassle them (can only speak for Durham CC), the job gets pushed up the queue.
