Has anyone had power loss when sitting with a constant throtle opening, engine dies away when sitting at say 70mph on motorway. But slight increase of throtle will bring it back up again for a few seconds then it will die away.
This only happens in the rain, possible air motion sensor ??

What bike??

Is the grip really secure on the throttle or could water be causing it to slip??

It's a guess and speculate thread.
You might be lucky and get loads of different answers & then you have to guess which one you think is right.:rob

I'm going to plumb for HD leads, plug caps or coil shorting out due to damp.
Could even be the start of a coil breaking down.

Let us know who the winner is.:thumb

Bike is 1150

Air filter is clean K & N

Have tried WD 40 over leads electrics etc. initial improvement but then comes back, could not pin point where the improvement was.

No misfire, so I dont think its the leads, plugs etc.

Plenty of power when you change throttle position, have tried it at various openings ie. 2000, 3000, 4000 rpm and it dies away.

RT air trumpets with carbon intake duct

Plugs are clean

Engine is chipped and Lambda sensor is disconnected

Bike has done 28,000

Halls sensor? one of the things that was changed when mine showed the same symptoms last year, and I believe they don't last forever.
Have you taken out the plug caps and checked them for corrosion? Another expensive fix....

It was the halls on mine with a few more miles on it, but not much...:thumb
