Morning , would anyone know if there are any extra power up points on a gs 1200 05 as looking to source extra power for a pmr radio , have already used the gps pick up, as the radios powered off the battery direct causes too much intereference.

Thanks

Sticky 'Switched power the easy way'. Job done :thumb2

If you haven't done it already you can also buy a pre-made loom to extend the standard underseat auxiliary socket up to a secondary socket on the nearside of the beak. You could do that and then tap into your new beak socket.

With the right Autocom you can get power from that. That's what I've got and it seems to work without any interference.

Stick, I'm halfway through wiring my bike for accessories and intend to have a bike-powered PMR radio (Kenwood TK3201) once some parts arrive.

My plan is to use a "battery eliminator" available cheap via ebay for the radio, cut off the feed wire from its cigar lighter adaptor (which normally provides voltage stepdown from 12vdc to 7.5vdc) and fit to the Autocom Pro-7 Sports radio power tails so it comes on/off with my Autocom (providing the Autocom gives out 7.5vdc, not measured it yet).
