Hi
I need a new PSU in my Windows\Pentium tower unit has failed. The replacement PSUs I've seen all have the fan on the top side but this doesn't suit my tower case as the PSU is fitted at the top and the case's cover will restrict air flow.

Can I just turn the PSU upside down or should I find a different PSU with the fan "facing out the backside" of the tower unit - like my current faulty item?

Recently on this forum I saw a response on this very topic and two examples of different fan layouts but I'm unable to find it again. Can anyone remind me where it is please?

Many thanks
David

David,

There should be a serial number on your PSU and you should be able to source a replacement on the internet by typing in the serial number into Google or something together with the manufacturers name.
