Can any one tell me please where I can get a lead that will plug into the power takeoff socket on the 1150GS?

I want it so I can plug a charger in, power a pump that sort of thing.

Cheapest place is ebay I have found..just a few pounds :thumb2

I take it you are after a 'din' plug. If you look in the for sale part someone is selling them there at a very good price. If you are after a ready made din plug to standard 'cigar lighter' socket (so you can charge mobile phones etc) they can be bought of ebay ready made and cheap. Try 'towzatronics' and look at items 290303370856 or 290285300207. You could buy just a din plug and chop the plug of the equipment you intend to use. Just make sure that the equipment is happy with a 12 volt supply first!

I think that is what I am after, I want something that will fit in the socket that is on the left (I think) side of the bike, that can as you say be used to charge mobile phones and the like when camping, also I think you can plug a battery charger into the socket to charge the bikes battery, such as a trickle charger to keep it topped up, but I am not sure if that is how it is done.

*Just had a look, thats what I am after! Still not sure I can charge the bike through it though.

Yes, thats what you are after (the socket with the little lift up cover buy the footrest). If your happy to wire it up yourself, then the din plugs on their own are cheap. It is a very straight forward job. For chargers such as optimate etc, I just fitted a din plug and away you go. The ready made adapters listed on ebay allow you to keep the standard cigar lighter socket which could be useful if you intend charging your phone etc in the car as well.
Do a few searches on here and you will see that you can easily put an extra socket in up buy the clocks, which is proberbly a better place to fit it.

==yes, you can charge through this socket but use an optimate (trickle) type charger.

Thanks Fatnfast, I will order one from Ebay, very handy when I go camping.

hi yeah its dead easy to wire your own adaptors if you have ten mins spare.
I bought the din plugs (the little ones that fit the bike sockets) from my bmw dealer for a couple of quid, chopped off the car sized plug from the multi socket adaptor i bought from halfords for a couple of quid, spent a couple of minutes tightening up the loose cable ends into the little plug and now i have a couple of car sized power sockets that I can pop into my tank bag.
Spot on.
Drives a couple of things - my comms and Tom Tom that i keep in the bag map top.
Can i use the word couple again...?
Oh yeah, you have a couple of power sockets on your 1150, one up by the clutch lever on the back of the beak too, as well as by your left foot.
Hope these couple of ideas help you couple up.:beerjug:
