A little advice please if possible.

My Garmin Zumo XT which has 2 power wires (red/black) is powered via the original BMW sat nav socket plug, using an aftermarket adapter - one of these - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/275846601644 - that replaces the standard BMW Nav plug on the right side inside front fairing, R1200GS TE 2014 LC.

I also have a Healtech Thunderbox which powers my Aux lights once the engine has started.

I have ordered a Aoocci c9 max which I think comes with 3 wires red/black and yellow for switched live. If this is in fact what it comes with - am I right in thinking I can join the red and yellow together and use the same BMW sat nav power socket that my zumo is in ? or if not could I use the Healtech by doing the same thing, joining red and yellow together ?

My Healtech is connected to the battery using just black and red and only powers up once the engine is running - I never used the white lead as I wanted the auto system.

Obviously if the Aoocci comes with just red and black I am good to go.

Many thanks for any help
Mark

I have the same device fitted already

I also bought a Healtech but didn't need it
As you mentioned it comes with the 3 wires....pos and neg direct to battery and the yellow wire to the 7.5 amp fuse under the seat.

I thought about connecting to the nav connection you mention but its quite a bit of cable AND there is no on/off button the the device. It powers on only when it has power (you can blank the screen but its still running)

if you look at this vid it shows exactly where to connect the yellow wire so the device powers on/off when the bike is on/off

Yes you can use the healtech as well...if I remember the healtech has a white wire which is the same as the yellow on the C9

Thank you for that, it is really helpful ! I have saved the video for when mine arrives. I have some posi-tap's somewhere but not sure what gauge they are will know better when I see it in real life I expect - thanks again :)

No worries and if you get any issues then feel free to get hold of me but rest assured Aoocci are extremely helpful if you have an issue (one of my cameras didn't work properly but they sent a new one out without hesitation).

Best of luck on the install

Just use mid (blue) thread lock on all the nuts etc!!!
