Since I was dumb and did not order the Computer Pro, I have no volt meter. So, for fun, I created one that plugs into my Powerlet on the dash. This will work on any bike with a dash mounted Powerlet, so it applies to nearly all bikes potentially.

$3.59 delivered volt meter, waterproof.

I got two in case I messed up the first one.

An old Powerlet plug soldered to the volt meter:

Some rubber hose to seal it.

Installed and in use:

Works great. I will try it on my commute tomorrow.

Looks really good. I thought I had the computer pro (UK based TE version). There's no voltage on mine though?

Shocking

Worthwhile noting for those without canbus systems that they'd be pulling the plug when parking up...the outlets on the 11xx models are permanently live :)

I got one of these to do the same thing, which I added to an ignition switched circuit......epoxy sealed it on the back, so i'm 99% sure it's waterproof :)

£2.39 delivered :)

Mounted flush on a bit of trim (it could easily be installed on the 11xx or 12 variant dash)
