German mag MOTORRAD had an interesting comparison in it's latest issue ; R1250R vs R1250GS-ADV
Despite being 40 kg heavier and running slightly smaller tires and a 19 instead of 17" front-wheel the GS-ADV was faster on the handling pacours with equally fast and slow sections than the R1250R...
1.47,7 vs 1.48,4 In a straight line the R was faster;After 400 meters the R reached 194km/h vs 183km/h for the GS-ADV.
A 20 kg lighter 2019/20 GS-HP or now 2021 GS-Rallye with ADV "sports" suspension would have been even faster...
The T-L gives better handling and keeps the bike stable no matter how bad the road surface gets.Handles as easy as a bicycle...Magic compared the old tech-forks.Not that we already knew that...
You can only imagine what a M1300GS as light as R1250R , with 17" wheels and 160 hp could do...
Praise the Telelever...
