Brilliant. This will be great. :clap

16 is an excellent response, probably about as big a group as it should be for this type of thing.
It'll be slow moving and any more would have us finishing after dark, which wouldn't be a good idea on this terrain.

Thanks to all who've responded and we look forward to seeing ye on the day or, maybe even, the night before. :beerjug:

Ye cant exclude Grumpy on the Serow :nenau

Have no off road experience, no protection for the bike like engine bars either but im half inclined to put my name down for this and do it at my own pace

Tiger 800xc, bog standard, what think?

could be a plan :beerjug: any ideas on a pub/B&B

Plenty to choose from, John.
If you want a couch the night before, let me know.
Kev & Mide have already claimed a bed.
Anybody else wanting somewhere to throw out a sleeping bag, let me know.

You're an oul star Jim:thumb

2 questions
First would an 800cc g/s count as a big bike
Second roughly what area of cork is it as I have a party in horse and jockey to go to that evening and would need to be there about 6ish

800 xc and 800 gs????
Ye're pushing the definition to its limit  but given the season that's in it, go on.
Whaaat:nenau well, it is nearly Dec and the music's started in the shops. :aidan

Frank, it's about 20 mins NE of Cork. You'll be in the Horse and Jockey in roughly the same time it'd take you to get there from Cork city.

What time is kick off , I will let u know tomorrow if I will make it (or later today even)

Gathering at 9.30 a.m. for a 10 a.m. departure.
Grumpy's usual instruction is empty bladder, full tank.

On this occasion, it's the opposite.
There'll be plenty of stopping so don't worry about the bladder.
The less petrol you have on board, the better (within reason). A lighter Gs is easier to (pick) hold up. :aidan

Just a suggestion...
If you have to beg, borrow or steal try to make sure you have a proper pair of offroad boots, if there was to be an injury it is the
most likely one to occur..... ask Corp.

If ye lads use those lightweight 800cc bikes ye won't have to wear dresses ........but ye might get girls names for the day. :augie

We think 18 big bikes is enough and we don't want to be splitting up into groups. There is another thing, would ye lads who haven't
emailed me yer mobile numbers please do so, ye'd be a long time guessing the start point otherwise.

Anybody got a spare GS for john_aero, he'll be careful.
:nenau

I was wearing motoX boots and still hurt my ankle. Nearly better now and I'm getting a new Anakee 2 for the back hoop in Lee Honda tomorrow.

It'd be great if the weather's good for this, a bit of sunshine on Saturday would be great, if someone would ask Mandy nicely.:thumb

Hey Bogman, email yer number ! :augie

I think I have everyone else's number, we'll do another quick scove around to confirm the route and contact ye all with a starting point.

I have road tyres on the GS and will do the spin on them, I'm sure Kamikaze will do likewise.:D

Lad's,
have ye room for another? I would love to give this a lash on the 1100. Any ideas where you'll be setting out from?

Shane and myself will be coming from the East Cork side so we'll probably be better off heading straight to the venue. We could arrange to meet up with anyone coming down the motorway at or near the closest exit. Save them the bother of going into the City.
