Picked up the Adv tonight (Cheers for the lift Nadeem :thumb) after having to leave it in Prestige for over a fortnight as I couldn't ride it 'cos of me back

It was in for a new ABS pump to be fitted after several instances of failure.....all done, obviously under warrenty.

That's fine and as expected of any dealer, but it's the little stuff that counts.....Steve called me to say it was done a day or so after it went in but he couldn't road test it 'cos the TKC on the back was a wee bit worn (read illegal).......So I dropped one into them and they fitted it before roadtesting.....no charge :thumb

There was also no storage charge, which I'd have hoped for but I've had to leave a car in a car garage for a week before and the bastewards charged me after two days....

Must admit, I did get bent over the chair and screwed for 71 quid for a set of front pads, but that's my fault for not getting the rag'n bone man on the case before it went in....and knowing BWM parts prices I've got nobody but meself to blame there.

What a sheer bloody joy to get back on a bike after just over two weeks not riding :thumb

Well spotted Tim, at least we know how he got the bad back :thumb

I use one of those turntable trolleys in my back garden 'cos I've got no space, so I'm used to hoiking the bitch up on that......I've perfected the knack of just using my immense weight to pop her up on it by just standing on the stand lever with a straight back.....first few dozen times I did it I nearly snapped but I was more carefull than usual this time :thumb

The endorphines were buzzing nicely though after getting out for a few miles hooning around, even with the brand new TKC rear, so that might have made it a bit easier :D

Bent double - rag and bone man cost = £36 for the pair

I know....what can I say :nenau

Is your 36 inc labour?

Ok, don't tell me.....I know it does

Ah well, it needed doing.....I'd normally do me own pads (had done the rear) but I hadn't checked the fronts after the ABS failure so it was me own fault.

:(
