Guys,
a friend of mine is looking at getting back into biking, after seeing my GS fancies one himself, so i'm after a ball park figure for a 1998 1100GS with 52K showing on the clock. Looks like it's had a hardish life

You don't really give enough info or have a photo of said bike. but a guess from me is £1500-2200. for a rough one.

If it`s any help, I have just paid £2400 for a `97 with 67K on the clock. Condition wise it looks like a 5 year old bike and has obviously been been well looked after (excluding some amateur wiring of some auxiliary electrical items which have just cost me over a ton to get professionally sorted!!)
It has lots of desirable extras, but no luggage. It runs sweet as a nut.
I reckon I paid market price. I would say £1500 to an absolute max of £2000 if this one is looking a bit tired and corroded.

Is it the red one on ebay that has a starting price of £2250?
If so I would definately want to see some close up pics of wheels, forks etc etc. , but it looks rather overpriced to me, even if it is mechanically OK.
